2015 Glass Invitational
October 10, 2015 - January 2, 2016
Pure Design is a proud sponsor of the
Glass Invitational 2015.
This year's five featured artists utilize glass in surprising and engaging ways.
Included is art that combines glass and sound by Karen Donnellan and structurally striking works by Amy Lemaire that are sculptural objects that can also be worn. Keith Lemley deftly pairs disparate materials, neon and wood, for an installation piece titled The Woods. Angus M. Powers, uses a variety of glass making techniques to create artworks that draw attention to everyday phenomena. And Wil Sideman references common objects to create textural works that are narrative in nature.

GlassFest 2012
May 24th - May 27th, 2012
For the third year in a row, Corning's Gaffer District enabled locals and
visitors to spend their Memorial Day weekend celebrating glass and the fire
arts! Live glass-blowing, local glassware vendors, a fireworks show, a
wine-and-beer tasting, lots of live music, and the fantastic "Light Up The
Night" event (for which Pure Design is the sponsor) help make GlassFest
something to look forward to.
2012 Cool Kids! Eco-Fest
April 21st, 2012
We helped kids celebrate the best holiday we can think of: Earth Day! Using eco-friendly finger paints, we designed an Alexander Girard-inspired sun to hang in the store, and also passed out coloring page coupons printed on recycled paper. Can't wait to participate next year!
